Model of a monster from Papua New GuineaBasketry, in the broadest sense, has been used for a long time by peoples all over the world to make a wide variety of useful and decorative objects. The Pitt Rivers Museum has on show many such things, illustrating basketry techniques and the diverse sorts of materials which may be used.
